SCHOLARSHIPS

You are eligible to apply for and receive a scholarship from the NFRO Foundation if you are a high school graduate (or in possession of a high school equivalency diploma), or registered as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or post high school vocational/technical institution; and meet the following criteria:

You are the spouse (not remarried), son or daughter (biological, adopted or stepchild) of a National First Responder Organization Member who has been killed in the line of duty (line of duty means: while performing their duties as a First Responder the fatal injury was sustained),

or

You are the spouse (if widowed, not remarried), son or daughter (biological, adopted or stepchild) of a First Responder member who has been permanently disabled in the line of duty (line of duty means: engaged in authorized first responder duty when the disabling injury is sustained and determined to be permanently disabled by the agency with which they were employed) Children of officers must not yet have reached their 26th birthday.
